Self-knowledge is a genuine information one possesses about him or herself. It includes information about one’s personality traits, typical emotional states, needs and goals, values, opinions, beliefs, preferences, physical attributes, relationships, behavioral patterns, and social identity. It is unavoidable.
It important to know this truth of who you are in God, your identity in God and believing in what the word of God says about you, this makes you feel secure in him.
The closer you get to God, the better you’re going to understand yourself. That’s because God is your Creator. The more you understand your Creator, the more you understand yourself because you are his creation.
Work at being “a better you” by understanding yourself and knowing your value in God. Always view yourself as God views you because your value is determined by how God views you, not as people view you
You are lovable just because God loves you, you are valuable because God bought you with a price that he sent his son to die for you and you are secure in him because he watches over you and your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Believe you have what it takes through Christ who strengthens you. Realize that you are a seed of Christ created to fulfil a purpose, you carry the power of God within you and you have what it take.
1Peter 2: 9 – 10 tells us about our identity that we are a chosen people, a royal priests, a holy nation, God’s own possession, God’s people because we have received his mercy so that we can show others the goodness of our God. That’s who you are!
The bible defines who we are as children of God, heir of the kingdom. Understand and never forget that you are valuable, unique, one of a kind, special, original and gifted.
This will enable you not to define yourself by your circumstance and to always seek God’s approval above anyone else Gal1:10. Be blessed always
