Years ago, a competition was held to find out how people would describe friendship. The winning answer was, A friend is someone who’s walking in when everyone else is walking out.

You and I have a friend that will do that, a friend who will stick closer than a brother. John 15:15. I do not call you servants any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you [My] friends, because I have revealed to you everything that I have heard from My Father.

For Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:20)

That’s a great verse for you to read that you motivate you to form intimacy with God knowing that you are not alone especially when you fill left alone or deserted by friends.
