Most people know the important of their destination, that is why they use GPS, because if you want to get where you want, you need to know where you want to go and follow the path.

Why is it that good intentioned people, smart people, with admirable life goals, often are not where they intended, they’re not reaching their purpose?

Why is it that many people with a clear idea direction in life end up far from their intended destination? Has this happened to you in one area of your life?

Do you ever feel lost? aimless? or a little confused, like you’re sailing through life without a rudder to guide you? If so, it’s likely that you’re not aligned with your values.

Your values are what give you meaning, purpose, and direction in life, but if you don’t know what they are, how are they supposed to guide you. Here is how

1. Make a Decision How You Want to Live

So you want to live a life of happiness and joy?

Do you believe in the power of your thoughts, words, and actions to influence your reality?

It’s up to you to decide what type of life you want to live that will make you happy.

2. Do What Excites You

The idea of “doing what you love” is a popular topic these days.

But how many people take the time to design their best life, then put in the work to make it happen?

living life on your own terms and pursuing ideas that excite you doesn’t happen overnight.

It takes hard work and but start with baby step

3. What Do You Enjoy Doing?

Have you ever thought about what you enjoy doing the most in your life?

What inspired your creativity?

What are some things you’ve enjoyed doing in your life? And, how can you do more of that in the future?

It helps you figure out how to spend your time better, and how to move your life in the right direction.

4. Who Are Your Heroes?

Who Motivate and Inspire You

Everyone have those they values that motivate and inspire them. They love what they do

It’s important to be aware of what these are for you, as they help guide you on your path to self-discovery and success.

Some may value intelligence, those with great mind like I do, and others kindness, etc.

The most important part of your journey is the realization of who you want to become.

5. Follow Your Timetable

Are you struggling to keep up with your responsibilities?

Maybe it’s time for a change.

Getting organized is the first step to start living your best life.

A schedule is a must if you want to experience success. It’s the only way to make sure your day-to-day life goes smoothly, and you have time to do everything that needs to be done.

6. Know Your Goal, Skill and Value

What’s holding you back from making the change to living a life that reflects who YOU really are?

The answer might surprise you.

Has it ever occurred to you that a lack of self-awareness could be the root cause of your problem?

You need to know what your goals are, what you value most in life, and what you’re really good at.

If you think you’re not good at anything, what would you like to be good at?

Knowing these answers give you insight into who you really are, and which is the best direction for you to take in life.

7. Set Clear Boundaries

Boundaries are not just physical and they are not just for kids. They can also be mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Setting clear boundaries for what you won’t accept is so important, and is a sign of self awareness and respect.

As long as you’re alive you’re going to make mistakes. But, it’s important to learn from those mistakes and not let them define you.

You can do that by setting clear boundaries for what you will and won’t accept in your life.

Mistakes are an important part of success. Take full responsibility and learn from them.

8. Exercise! Workout or Gym

Exercise improves sleep, sex, mood, and productivity, all in positive ways.

With a clear mind you can think efficiently and effectively, and make better decisions and evaluations.

In a positive state of mind ideas and inspiration come easily, guiding you in the right direction.

A Lot of people think of physical activity and think it will be too hard.

But they’re looking at exercise from the wrong perspective.

What’s really hard, is going through life NOT taking care of your body.

Over time, the negative effects of a weak body and mind start taking their toll on your quality of life.

Physical activity tunes you into a positive frequency. What you want comes much easier when your mind is in a good space.

9. Readers A Lot

Reading as a habit will serve you well for your entire life. A great man says, if you don’t have a library, you will be a liability

You should read as many books as possible, and not just the ones assigned to you in school.

It’s important to learn about topics outside of your area of expertise.

Seeing life from different perspectives broadens the way you see reality.

It only takes one idea to inspire you to take a new direction in your life. A direction you wouldn’t have found had you not been inspired by reading.

10. Learn New Things

Life begins just outside your comfort zone.

If you want to be successful (whatever success means to you) you need to be comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. Satisfaction is death

Learning new skills is essential to advancing your career. It diversifies your job options and helps you develop new techniques to keep up with the fast-changing world.

  3. This is amazing! Especially that second point where you say, “Design the life you want for yourself, then work hard to achieve it.” I really like the way you write.
    Can I reblog this?

  4. Knowing what we want is important. If we don’t we might find ourselves drifting in oceans of indecision and stagnation. Last year was the first time in a long time I managed to say the phrase “I want to ” and know that what I said was true and what I wanted. It was strange, and has helped galvanise my goals of having books published and music released.

    Peace to you my friend.
